Janice Ann Roberts of Warsaw, Indiana passed away at 12:57 p.m. on Monday, December 6, 2021 at Parkview Regional Medical Center of Fort Wayne, Indianan at the age of 80. 

She was born on July 18, 1941 in Hartford City, Indiana to Thelma E. (Wright) Croy and Howard Carson Croy.  On December 4, 1965 she was married to John Joseph Roberts.  They enjoyed all of life’s adventures marriage brings from raising their two daughters to becoming grandparents and everything in between.  Janice and John loved being with each other and were blessed to share 50 years of marriage before he passed away on September 22, 2016. 

Janice was a graduate of Warsaw High School.  Always fond of children, she spent her formative years working in an orphanage prior to becoming a homemaker after marriage.  Janice was a very crafty person and enjoyed painting, woodworking crafts, puzzles and of course she never missed an episode of Wheel of Fortune!  Janice thoroughly enjoyed spending time with her friends, family, and her church family at New Hope Free Will Baptist Church of Warsaw.  Janice dearly loved her family and will forever be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister.   

She leaves behind two daughters:  Kimberly (Jeff) Miller (Pierceton, Indiana); Rebecca Linn Roberts (Warsaw, Indiana); two grandchildren:  Ashlan (Stephen) Cavender (Westfield, Indiana); Ethan (Sydney) Miller (North Manchester, Indiana); and her great-grandchild: Sadie Cavender.  Also surviving is her brother: John (Loretta) Croy (Warsaw, Indiana); and her sister: Eilene (Stan) Cook (Warsaw, Indiana).  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers, Kenneth and Herman Croy, and her sister Nilah (Croy) Nestle.   

Janice’s life will be celebrated at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 14, 2021 at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home and officiated by Pastor David Cripe and Pastor Dennis Croy.  Burial will follow with a graveside service at Oakwood Cemetery of Warsaw.  Friends and family may visit prior to the service from 11:00 – 1:00 p.m.
